For starters, it is unusually large for a Florentine box. But especially interesting are the Asian characters on the lid, which gives it a real Chinoiserie, East-meets-West feel. It features a warm ivory lacquer with gold gilt accents, a hinged dome lid, and Greek key decorative borders.

The long, rectangular shape of this box makes it the perfect size for display on a bureau, coffee table, fireplace mantel, bookshelf -- or wherever else you can envision it!
