This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug features a stepped medallion filled with a cruciform cross-like motif. The stepped central medallion is surrounded by floral sprigs and rosettes in an abrashed red field. The spandrels are composed of rectangular bands with a camel backdrop are filled with rectilinear shapes and outlined with a rosette roundel guard band. The Oushak rug is framed with a geometric border flanked with inner and outer Meander guard bands.
