These are designed after … Read more This is a Vintage pair of Italian Transferware Criel Style Candlesticks produced in Italy for Mottahedeh. These are designed after the 18th-century French Creil Faience, a type of French earthenware produced in the town of Creil. The black and yellow color combination is reminiscent of designs used in this French porcelain, which often features floral motifs, chinoiserie elements, and delicate borders. Mottahedeh is known for their exceptional reproductions and high-quality potteries. They hold licences to many classic designs and have made countless pieces for the White House, the State Department and Diplomatic Corps as well as many museums.
