a stunning white glass vase, made opaque with acid treatment, decorated with bas-relief floral motifs in full art nouveau style and made and signed on one side by muller frères. Our vase can be dated between 1910 and 1930. The bas-relief work is impressive, with semicircular bands creating an effect of large intersecting scales, with a delicate floral bas-relief decoration between each scale, in classic art nouveau style, very similar to the floral decorations found on austrian ceramics by wiener keramik or powolny.

The four highest results in the lamps category range from €3,200 to €9,380, again plus auction fees. All this is to give a general idea of the importance of muller freres manufacturing. As for our vase, it is worth noting that it is quite famous, so much so that it has been published in an important volume on 20th-century european glassware, as you can see from the last photo. However, similar pieces are offered for sale at prices ranging from a minimum of €600-700 to just over €1,000-1,200.

the muller frères family is a family of french master glassmakers based in lunéville. Some members of the family worked with émile gallé before starting their own glassworks, which was founded in 1895 and closed permanently in 1933.
