This stunning piece is mostly untouched but has had a few repairs over the years. It has two fully carved large leaded glass doors that are hand blown. The right door has a lock but there is no key at the moment. The left door has two brass inserts at the top and bottom to allow a pin to slide in and out, locking the door in place. The doors have original detailed large hinges, at the top and bottom. Inside of the top cabinet are two shelves that sit on adjustable pegs, allowing you to customize the shelf spacing. Directly under are two large drawers with dovetail pegs. The main secretary section opens easily and reveals plenty of cubby space along with 4 more additional slide out drawers. The front cover again has a lock but no key at the moment. Under this is a pull out drawer on top of large cabinet space with a shelf. The cabinet doors have matching hinges to the leaded glass doors above. These doors have a lock and working key allowing it to lock. This peice is covered top to bottom in beautiful carvings all made by hand. There are no makers or manufacturing marks that I am aware of but I am confident in dating it to the late 19th century. Beautiful one of a kind example secretary that would be hard to compare to any others. Ready to be the center of attention in any home. It measures 39L x 20W x 87H. Local delivery available. See less
