Vintage Danish teak desk with bar cabinet by Erik Riisager Hansen for Haslev Mobelsnedkeri, circa 1960s. Probably the most striking detail of this Model 66 desk is the rounded 3-way miter joint corners. It has six drawers, and a very uncommon feature for this model, a locking bar cabinet on the reverse. The right-side drawers are extra deep, and the upper has a full-length sliding writing surface. The locking cabinet has a mirrored rear panel and green felt liner. The drawers and the cabinet are trimmed in contrasting rosewood.
This desk measures 55.5” Long x 29.75” Deep x 28” Tall. The knee hole opening is 25.25” Tall x 23” Wide.
This desk has been recently refinished and is in excellent condition. All the drawers are clean and slide smoothly. The cabinet has a new lock and key that functions perfectly. There are a few very light scratches that remained after refinishing and the green felt has some wear. Overall, this desk is in excellent condition.
The Haslev Møbelsnedkeri label is present, along with the Danish Furnituremakers Control label.
