They were very likely made to be used as doorstops, but people also have been known to use them as garden ornaments due to their durability. Some refer to them as "Nice Duck" (the one looking up) and "Naughty Duck" (the one looking down). Made from durable cast iron, each duck is solid black, stamped 1950, and with what appears to be a serial number. There is normal wear and tear with some slight color chips hear and there. These heirloom ducks will add a touch of charm and elegance to your space where ever you choose to display them. Both Naughty and Nice have typical wear for their age and use, including some of the black worn through/off to the original cast iron and some pitting from casting.
