The pages are gilded along all three sides for durability.

Ribbon page marker, luxurious moire fabric endsheets and hubbed spine accented with genuine 22kt gold add elegance.

This copy is in good condition. The hubbed spine has some wear as you'll see in the first photo. It doesn't appear to have ever been opened more than 5 inches.because the binding very tight. The last photo shows a tiny spot on the edge of pages where the gilding is worn off.
