An exceptional mid-century design object in danish scandinavian style is offered here.
the model is very similar to the armchair and armchair designs of the 1950s - 1960s by hartmut lohmeyer for wilkhahn and also to those by kai kristiansen (e.g. Paper-knife chairs). The design and quality is very high quality and equivalent to those.
we would most likely attribute this model to hartmut lohmeyer, but cannot determine this with certainty due to the lack of markings/labels.
special features
* sculptural, solid frame made of fine teak wood with original upholstery and cover material in brown-beige wool fabric typical of the time from the 1950s-1960s.
* another special detail of the design are the organically and artistically shaped armrests as well as the outstandingly beautiful, clearly visible wooden drawing of the teak frame.
* the armchairs are well padded all around and the seating comfort is therefore very good.
dimensions
width 65 cm * depth 75 cm * height 79 cm * seat height 42 cm
condition
the armchairs are in more than good, very beautiful, well-kept vintage condition, cleaned and maintained by us, with non-serious, usual and age-related marks on the wood and fabric surface.
* there are a few small surface scratches, small nicks and dents on the wooden frame (these are usually angular) and uneven colors due to age and use.
as always, the wooden surface was polished by us and treated with wood care.
* there are a few small areas on the fabric cover that are very slightly roughened, slight color unevenness and a few tiny spots in the depths. The fabric cover has no serious defects such as larger stains and damage.
* the upholstery is in good condition.
…\. All signs of wear on the wooden surface only become a little more visible without being serious upon closer inspection, these marks are hardly noticeable in the overall everyday picture\.\. This piece is designed in the style of the selected designer and/or manufacturer
