This gorgeous, very large platter is a rare piece of Catalina Island Pottery dating from the 1930s. The classic Santa Barbara style red/orange glaze is what is known as "Toyon" Red, named after the berry of a native California tree. It works beautifully with classic Fiesta Ware colors, stoneware, and other classically Mid Century serving ware.
