Some … Read more Meji Period about 1900 Japanese lacquer screen with carved bone inlay of birds, foilage and flowers. Some condition issues. Some missing inlay noted in pictures, and lacquer has dulled. Bottom of one panel is slightly bowed out but is secure in screen and no danger of coming out. Otherwise two panel screen is sturdy. Sticker on back has a handwritten 12/51 and previous owner says this is when it was bought in an antique shop in New York. It has been in their house ever since and they used it as a fire screen.
