Vintage Mid Century Italian Capodimonte Jewelry Casket Box W/Putti
This is an exquisitely hand painted Italian Capodimonte jewelry casket or box that features scenes of frolicing putti cherubs with lion heads on the corners. Lid is domed with colorful swags and garlands of multi-colored roses. Has hand applied karat gold. Box is footed and they are shaped like lion paws. Lid is hinged and works well. This has the original gold paper R Capodimonte tag and is also marked on the bottom. Excellent condition, no damage, box measures 3.5" high, 6.75" wide, and 5.25" deep. Makes a lovely gift!
