Entirely handmade by Taos, New Mexico artist/metalsmith/renaissance-woman Rosemary "Pozzi" Franzetti (1953-2012). Signed on lower right side of base.

Rosemary "Pozzi" Franzetti (August 28, 1953 - November 26, 2012)
Rosemary “Pozzi” Franzetti was born August 28th, 1953, in De Moines, Iowa. She grew up with three sisters and one brother in Madison, Wisconsin. Pozzi moved to San Fransisco, California, at seventeen before settling in Taos, New Mexico. Over the next thirty years, Pozzi gave birth to Jo Mama's Pot Pies, Franzetti Metal Works (her art metal fabrication company), and "her greatest creation," Jessie Franzetti. Pozzi was best known for her metal sculpture work, but many knew her simply as the woman who did the "amazing etch-a-sketch portrait that looked just like me!" Pozzi lived many lives in her 59 years and constantly pursued new endeavors. See less
