the lamp combines elegant proportions with refined materials, characteristic of the sophisticated german lighting designs produced during the post-war period. A sculptural tripod base formed from slender steel rods supports a large pleated shade, creating a light and architectural silhouette while providing a warm, atmospheric illumination.

a notable feature of the lamp is its pleated shade in translucent cellulose acetate (rhodoïd), one of the most celebrated materials used in mid-century lighting.
