This rare hand-tinted etched illustration from a French botany collection of mycology is nothing short of extraordinary. This print is of the L'Argaric Couleur de Rose, or Rose Colored Agaric. Agaric is a relation of the regular mushroom, but its tops are convex (or sometimes flat) with the gills on underside of cap.
Etched illustration was matched and inserted into an equally stunning antique frame, which shows its age with the antique plaster falling off the frame in some places (as seen in photos) which only enhances the overall aesthetic of this piece of art. Glass is not museum quality/glare resistant, so it is highly recommended to *not* hang/display in direct sunlight.

Paper of print itself shows its 240+ year age with some staining to right side of illustration and spotting on background of piece throughout. Frame and print were chosen and put together by seller. less
