Handwoven in the Oushak region of Western Turkey in the 1980s, this extra-long wool kilim runner brings bold village geometry into a format that suits today’s interiors perfectly. The linked medallions, stepped borders and clean triangles read as a strong graphic band down a corridor, softening the architecture while adding color and rhythm underfoot. Flat-woven and low in profile, it works beautifully in gallery-like hallways, long kitchens or along a wall of cabinetry where doors and chairs need to move freely.
The design runs as a continuous chain of diamonds and flanking motifs along the full length of the rug, creating a sense of movement and direction in a narrow space. It is a vintage, slightly used piece in very good condition, professionally cleaned and completely odorless, with no repairs. As is typical of genuine handwoven rugs, it is not perfectly rectangular, and there are small, light stains visible in the close-up photos, but in use it reads as a crisp, cheerful runner that can handle daily life in a busy home or design-conscious project.

✨ Color Palette & Design Insight
This runner has a warm, optimistic palette that instantly brightens a long passageway or kitchen while remaining easy to layer with wood, stone and neutral furnishings. It sits comfortably in boho, farmhouse, rustic and mid-century inspired interiors, bringing color and pattern without feeling heavy.
• Sun-baked terracotta panels forming the main field
• Soft peach and apricot tones in the central medallions
• Forest and sage greens outlining motifs and stepping through the borders
• Warm camel and beige framing the outer border and ground
• Cream and butter tones that keep the overall look open and airy
• Touches of dusty rose and muted mint in small diamonds
• A single note of deep denim blue in one corner motif for a playful accent
✨ Motifs & Symbolism
The composition is anchored by a chain of large central diamonds with hourglass-like figures inside, a classic Anatolian way of expressing balance, protection and unity within the home. Along the sides, shield-shaped diamonds recall ram’s horn and amulet motifs, traditionally woven to bring strength and guard the household from misfortune. The stepped triangles moving through the borders can be read as stylized trees or mountains, symbolizing growth, rootedness and connection to the landscape. Together these repeating forms create a rhythmic, totemic pattern that feels both grounded in folk tradition and surprisingly modern, making the runner as suitable for a contemporary loft as for a cozy farmhouse hallway.
