New England states, circa 1820’s

Red paint over an old undercoat of paint, causing the current top coat to become craquelure style. The original paint is under multiple layers of paint. A single cut hole in the top, would have fit a wash basin and pitcher. The drawer is dovetailed. Nice hand planing marks throughout from the original cabinetmaker.

Size: 17 1/2” wide, 17” deep, and 38 3/4” tall overall.

Condition: overall very well preserved condition. Old paint layers over the original paint. General use and wear marks associated with age and use. The drawer knob is original, and has some loss to the wood around the brass insert. See less
