Gerald Samuels' (1927- 2004 ) work can be found in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Art, Ciba Geigy, MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the Corcoran in Washington, D.C.
This diptych painting can be seen at his last gallery show in 1999.
Each side of diptych measures 22" W X 2"D X 69.6" T
Mr. Samuel's work has been widely shown nationally and internationally, and is included in major museums and corporate collections including the Corcoran Gallery and San Francisco Museum. His paintings are elevating and mystical, subtly weaving together his sensitive assessment of his symbolic world. In these flyways and routes the work touches landscape, musical scores and outer space. His work has been part of the New York art scene since the early fifties. He has taught art in many schools including Brooklyn College and Pratt Institute.
