Silversmith's In great to excellent condition given the era of manufacture. The L.B.S. stands for Lawerence B. Smith & Company out of Sheffield, England. Not only is the handle a decorative theme, but also utilitarian as metal was hot to handle when very hot liquid like coffee or tea were filled, and a singular serving pieces along a porcelain tea/coffee cup was of the times, and a way to protect ones hands from the heat transmitted onto the silver server.
