He entered the donkey in the 1963 California State Fair and won a Gold Medal. This and other animal designs caught the eye of Abercrombie & Fitch and became a part of their catalogue from the mid 60’s on into the 80’s. This excellent example of a donkey that is unsigned as is typical for Omersa work of the period. The piece shows a patina and appearance to the leather that only comes with age. See less
