Antique bamboo bookcase with five shelves. Each shelf is made of woven material, possibly some type of straw. This bookcase is quite rare as most bamboo bookcases have wooden shelves. It does have some condition issues consistent with age and use including:
-Bookcase is not sturdy and is in need of reinforcement
-One screw that was replaced (see photos) in an effort to make the bookcase more sturdy.
-Bamboo that is missing in one spot (see last photo)
-Scratches, other indications of age and use
It is a wonderful piece that is in need of restoration.
