I painted this painting plein air while in and around the town of Mendocino. This was a country back road. Whenever I travel, I love to drive out into the countryside to look for quaint little farmhouse scenes like this one.
Painted fast and loose which is my style. I love bold brushstrokes and pushing the oil (like soft butter) around.
Oil on panel board primed with layers of gesso.
11 x 14 unframed.
