This Chippendale-style mahogany … Read more Councill Craftsmen is one of my favorite furniture manufacturers because of the impeccable quality of their pieces. This Chippendale-style mahogany secretary desk is no exception. The grain of the mahogany is simply exquisite! The top part features doors with a single piece of glass with wood trim on the outside to give the illusion of single panes of glass. One of the shelves on the inside is adjustable. The bottom part opens up to reveal an array of small drawers, all of which open up, and cubbyholes for storage. The desk can be locked up with the key included.

As a vintage piece of furniture, this secretary desk is not in perfect condition. A piece of wood on the left side of the top part got knocked off while this desk was being moved, and I've glued it back in place. You can only see this repaired section when you look at the left side of the desk. I will post a picture of this section soon for your reference. Other than that, this desk is in good condition with only a few marks around the feet (refer to picture 7).
