An absolutely "Fabulous" miniature portrait in water colors by Miss Lucie Harrand, a British portrait artist who exhibited works from … Read more An absolutely "Fabulous" miniature portrait in water colors by Miss Lucie Harrand, a British portrait artist who exhibited works from 1900-1903, "Fabulous - a portrait of Louisa Harrand", the portrait is of a golden haired Louisa in a white robe against a graduated red background, a halo offsets Louisa profile, 3 1/4" x 2 3/4", signed Lucie Harrand in the lower right corner front, a detailed inscription was attached to the old, damaged frame. CA number 3962, CA purchased from a small English auction house fall old 2024.
The painting has been surface cleaned. It is reframed with White Museum Matboard, a gold line, Museum Glass, museum backing and 1/2" 22kt hand laid gold leaf moulding.
Miss Lucie Harrand was a portrait painter who lived at 11 Alwyne Square, Cannonbury, London.
She exhibited from 1900-1903 at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; the Society of Women Artists, and the Royal Academy, London. See less
