moreColorful and cheerful art figurine of a street entertainer seated on a blue ball by Lo Scricciolo, Italy. He is playing a saxophone, while a violin rests casually by his side. Note the detail of the his face, slender arms and fingers, along with the detail of the saxophone. Artist and sculptor signed A. Colombo, embossed Lo Scricciolo Italy on the top behind the blue ball, and marked with a gold foil label underneath. Figurine is in excellent condition. Three Italian sculptors, Toni Moretto, Giovanni Duso and Adriano Columbo, founded “Lo Scricciolo” in 1958. Their humorous pieces were handbuilt of white clay and handpainted one at a time, so no two were ever exactly alike. The figures usually depicted people from everyday life. The exaggerated long thin bodies and elaborate costuming are typical of their style. No amount of detail was spared in their execution. Lo Scricciolo pieces were imported to the United States through a single shop located on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Examples in excellent condition are difficult to find today due to the extreme amount of fine detail employed in their creation. less

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.
- Once shipping or pickup has been initiated, the cancellation will be considered a return and you will be responsible for the cost of shipping.
