Stoneware vase signed at the tip Alfred Lebret (1871-1955).
Alfred Lebret (1871-1955) was a renowned French ceramist, particularly active in the Puisaye region, famous for its pottery tradition. He notably worked at the Poterie des Ligers in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, where he produced stoneware pieces in the 1930s.
His creations are distinguished by elegant shapes and enamels in varied hues, reflecting the Art Deco aesthetic of the time. The vases signed by Lebret are particularly popular with collectors and ceramic enthusiasts.
Lebret also collaborated with other ceramists, such as Jean-Marie Maure, thus contributing to the enrichment of French ceramics at the beginning of the 20th century.
Today, his works are sought after on the art market and bear witness to the richness of the French ceramic tradition.
