English Creamware Pottery Model of a Seated Lion,
with a Whieldon-type tortoise-shell glaze,

The English pottery model of a seated lion with a Whieldon-type creamware tortoise-shell glaze over an agate-redware body has a hollow interior.
The interior with a red clay body and cream. One can speculate that the original intention was to create an agate body but the result was inconsistent and the piece was then dipped in a lead-glaze and sponged to create the Whieldon-type tortoise-shell exterior glaze.
Dimensions: 7 3/4 inches high x 6 inches wide x 4 3/4 inches deep (19.69cm high x 15.24cm wide x12.07cm deep).
