Hand-crafted in Provincial France, first half of the 18th century, probably the Alsace / Lorraine region of Northeastern France, executed in early period King Louis 15th taste, solid oak construction, having a gently rounded overhanging rectangular planked top with molded edge, pegged mortise tenoned case with rounded corner posts, simple paneled sides and a pair of stylized shield shaped paneled cabinet doors, affixed with scrolled iron escutcheons, opening to spacious storage, above a sculpted curvacious scalloped skirt, rising on sturdy straight bracket feet.
