This Vintage Turkish Oushak Yastic is handmade using wool on a wool foundation, in the Oushak region of Western Turkey. With a size of 1'10" x 3'8", these oriental rugs originated from the weaving traditions of the Anatolian plateau. Each village in the area has its own unique designs and colors, which were rarely replicated by neighboring villages due to their rich tradition and pride. These antique rugs were even featured in historical European paintings for their bold geometric patterns and muted tones, making them a popular choice among interior designers.
