Bacchus … Read more German Bisque Porcelain "Triumph Of Bacchus" Sculpture. Centerpiece represents the mythological Bacchus, the god of wine, drunkenness, and excesses. Bacchus is the central figure of the sculpture, holding a cup in his right hand, with two maenads crowning him with vine leaves and pouring him a drink from an ewer. Two children fight over a basket of grapes while on the back side of sculpture, a child is enjoying feeding a recumbent panther. Maker's mark located on reverse side on bottom trim. Figurines sit on large bisque base. See less
