Shakyamuni's gaze is realistic, the eyes are made with cowrie shells (black-spotted shell), which accentuate the expression of his benevolent and meditative. On the band which highlights its still partially gilded ushnisha, vestiges of glasswork. Beautiful medal patina with shades of green of gray. This exclusive and authentic piece comes from the estate of the merchant and collector claude de marteau. It is sold with a certificate of provenance.
