This mid 20th century heliogravure in color and gold was pulled from a 1939 issue of "Verve" the French review of art. It depicts an image of "The Bed Chamber of the Danaides" where the 50 daughters of Danaus were sent to slaughter their husbands, the 50 sons of Aegyptus. A real bloodbath! Dimensions: 10.25" x 13.75".
