Age is … Read more Gorgeous late 18th century early 19th century oil on canvas portrait in original condition in its original frame. Age is based on the style of the young ladies dress and canvas. This painting is initialed " RC " on the bottom right corner. The family crest on top left, perhaps French. The frame also has a name painted on it as seen in photos five and six, hard to read, clearly reads "Mrs. ___ née Jennings " née refers to her maiden name. RA is also visible at the bottom, referring to Royal Academy. Unfortunately all we have is the artist initials, RC.
