The Mid Century Modern lithograph print is printed in Canada in 1979 by Herzig Sommerville Limited. It is a page from a 1st edition folio book of Contemporary Canadian Art selected by Marci and Louise Lipman titled " Twenty Painters / Twenty Paintings ", published by Lester & Orpen Dennys Limited Publishers. It features an artwork image originally created by Bush in 1966 titled " Tall Spread ", Collection : The National Gallery of Canada, Toronto, copyright Estate of Jack Bush.

Jack Bush ( 1909 - 1977 ) is a Canadian born Abstract Expressionist artist. His paintings are associated with The Color Field Movement and Post-Painterly Abstraction. Influenced by the Abstract Expressionist artists of The New York Movement including Helen Frankenthaler and Morris Louis, Bush encapsulated joyful yet emotional feelings in his vibrant paintings. The art works are highly regarded at the forefront of Canadian Modernist Art. The works are held in the permanent collections of many prestigious museums including The National Gallery of Canada, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, The Tate Gallery London, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, among many others.

The rare out of print Mid Century Modern lithograph print measures 10 7/8" W X 15 1/2" H, with an image area of 6 5/8" W X 14 1/8" H. It is printed on smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors in an eggshell finish. There are details about the artwork printed on the reverse back side.

It is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. See less
