This vintage minaudière from 1984 by Judith Leiber is a highly collectible book peice.
Eastern culture is a consistent influence on Judith Leiber minaudieres. From China, to Japan, and to India, Judith Leiber takes us on a global adventure, bringing us small pieces of each place in opulent crystal minaudieres.
This bag is done in gold and rhinestone crystals and embellished with large garnet cabochons shaped into a curled Foo Dog, famous for their appearances on Chinese temples and ancient buildings. Usually depicted guarding the wealth of the Emperor, this Foo Dog has his own treasures to guard inside.
