Antique, hand painted, faience pottery/mustard jar C. 1892.
This piece was made to commemorate the year, 1792 as a 'centennial' piece for 100th anniversary celebrations of the French Revolution happening across France.
No two pieces are the same as each were handpainted in brightly colored, French country dress.
Mustard pot "barrel top" is in excellent condition and comes with the original spoon which has a repair in 2 places.
This pot was intended to serve mustard and is famously in the form of seated provincial lady in French Revolutionary dress.
