An elegant, delicate vase from the Art Nouveau period, made by WMF. The decoration in the form of a relief medallion is repeated five times all around.
The hammered decoration in the lower part of the vase was used to enliven the surface and at the same time signals a craftsmanship.
This vase was on display in the exhibition of the Kurpfälzisches Musem Heidelberg in 2021 "Shimmering Beauties - Luxury Brass Devices - Art Nouveau to Art Deco". Now you can still admire it on the film for this exhibition. This can be found on the website museum-heidelberg.de.
Under the stand the vase is marked with the WMF ostrich mark and the number 11.
