Beautiful … Read more Handsome vintage Scandinavian Modern D Scan dining chairs comprised of teak frames & oatmeal tweed fabric, set of 4. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, one chair seat needed reformed and new support pegs added. All were cleaned and the wood given a fresh coat of Danish oil. D-Scan was founded in 1968 and began producing Scandinavian style furniture in Singapore in the mid 1970’s. They were known for their high-quality, functional, and minimalist designs. They opened a plant in south Boston in 1988 where they operated as part of Tvilum-Scanbrik, a Danish manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture that was acquired by Masco in 2000. The company was eventually phased out.
