Offered is a 1960s Fauna bowl designed by Oiva Toikka for Nuutajärvi Finland.
Possibly the prettiest bowl you will ever see. This is molded hand blown glass which works perfectly in any home. Show off your salad, fruit, spaghetti or fried rice, or just use it as a centerpiece bowl next to your finest glass collection. The embossed animal/jungle pattern is called Fauna, a series by Oiva Toikka for Iittala, Finland, designed in 1966 and manufactured between 1966-1991 - it was a companion collection to their Flora pieces. See detailed pics of lions, tigers, bears, antelopes, iguanas, giraffes, all whimsically embossed in relief texture on this beautiful bowl. It's slightly oblong in height versus wide, and subtly fluted, making it easy to hold, or to toss your salad without spilling.
