Handcrafted to a very high standard, this trunk is covered in a hide and reinforced with decorative studs & corners, the internal retains the original linen & green baize. Over the decades the leather and metal patina has become wonderfully smooth and mellow, with a dark rich colour to the leather. C1800

This very old trunk would have accompanied its affluent owner on their travels around the UK & the world, made to store clothes, boots & essential travel items, this trunk does show signs of age, and would have had a few repairs over the years, which gives this lovely piece of luggage character and charm, its lived a life and shows that it has stood the test of time.  

Would make a great storage trunk for linen or as a low coffee table. See less
