It has the … Read more This is a rare lacquered terracotta Chinese figure in polychrome with floral decoration on a green background. It has the tilting head. In its hands there is a little vase to contain writing nibs or pens. This surprising piece hails from the Mid-18th Century, Torino, Italy. The curved shape, on the front and on the sides, moreover the exquisite floral decoration and the bright lacquer colors, are the result of the high level craftemanships of the Venetian master cabinetery. It is an elegant piece that can perfectly matches with the beauty of a timeless home or put on a stunning office desk. The use of Venetian lacquer spread to Italy and then to all over the Europe. The provenance of this piece is Torino, Piemonte, the West-Northern part of Italy.
