The hard-to-find sculpture was designed and crafted by Hivo Van Teal, a Miami artist that applied expertise in acrylics to produce lamps, sculptures, and other products. The Van Teal Company is no longer in business. Existing products have increased substantially in price in recent years. The crescent moon and base are formed from black acrylic, while the full moon is transparent with silver material. The sculpture is supported by a round black acrylic base. The sculpture is particularly striking when moon light or spotlights are directed towards the moon orb. The lamp would be great in a child's room or a living room featuring a black and white decor.
