58.4 × 73.7 cm Here is the original and historic limited edition lithograph in three colors on cream colored moderately thick smooth paper, from Claes Oldenburg's exhibition April 26 to May 1967 at the legendary Sidney Janis Gallery in New York City. This lithograph is based on the original drawing entitled "Building in the Form on an English Extension Plug," 1967. It is signed in the plate and measures 29 inches by 23 inches. It is printed in 3 colors: gold, brown, and blue. Sidney Janis Gallery posters were printed as lithographs and have become collectors items - especially ones like this from the 1960s, the most desirable and influential era in Pop Art. The Gallery is no longer in existence, so ephemera items like this fantastic Oldenburg poster are quite uncommon. This print is fully referenced in the book "Printed Stuff: Prints, Posters and Ephemera by Claes Oldenburg, A Catalogue Raisonne 1958-1996", Richard H. Axsom, David Platzker and Claes Oldenburg. p. 109, published by Hudson Hills Press, New York in association with Madison Art Center, Wisconsin, 1997.
