Havstad (1901-1973) was a Norwegian sculptor, author and tinsmith who received his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm under Carl Milles. Havstad opened his namesake studio in 1928 in Nesodden, Norway. He called this conical wine pitcher ‘Jomfruen’ (The Virgin). Signed on the bottom with maker’s mark, ‘Havstad, Norway’. Beautiful collector’s piece, circa 1930s-50s. See less
