The endogenous people of the United States known as The American Indian, had long since prized the bald eagle feathers as a symbol of bravery and fierceness. There were many tales and legends of how the Indians would climb mountains and find the nests of the Eagle and gather the molted feathers and collected them and honored the bird with deep reverence. I found this brass eagle in a vintage store in West Hollywood California. See less
