- The light of the lamps is directed to the ceiling, which results in a soft, diffuse light

- The elemental geometric shape and industrial character of this lamp is influenced by the Dutch Postmodernism and the tradition of Rietveld, the German Bauhaus and the Italian Memphis style

- This particular floor lamp was originally used by an architect in a Memphis style building buils in 1988 in the Dutch town of Hoofdplaat.
