Both elegant and incredibly detailed this beautiful Hickory Chair Sideboard from the James River Collection has everything one could ask for as a center point for the dining room. The sideboard has a large amount of storage space featuring three drawers across the top and four large cupboard areas behind the doors. Inside the top drawer there is a factory original silver storage areas. All of the drawers are dovetailed with the secondary portions of the drawers being produced from American oak and each drawer also features drawer glides for easy opening and closing.

The serpentine shaped front is a classic design feature and this shape is highlighted on the top of the sideboard and this shaping continues downward and is reflected on both the door and drawer fronts. High quality construction throughout is exemplified in the solid mahogany legs, the designer style hardware as well as the dovetailed drawers. The center drawer features a working lock and there is a key that comes with the sideboard.

This Hickory Chair Sideboard rests on six fantastic, inlaid tapered legs, each of which is surrounded by beautiful banding near the bottom. The four front legs each have wonderful, fine pin stripe lighter colored inlaid woods turning into ovals near the top of the legs. Meanwhile the doors and drawers are each outlined in a fine banded inlay pattern as well. All of this is topped off by a richly grained figured mahogany top.

As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there will be some small signs of wear and tear but overall this item is in excellent condition.
