These richly carved and lacquered cabinets were made over 150 year ago in China's Shanxi Province and are in remarkable condition. The cabriole legs are especially striking. Ancient Chinese furniture carpenters made this design, with curved legs, outcurved knees and incurved ankles, famous worldwide. The floating front panels are carved in beautiful detail. The cabinets have a strong spirit that speaks to the sophistication of the time they were created and the storied provincial lives they have lived.
