This Semi Antique Persian Melayer Rug is hand woven in the Hamadan region of Iran and has been distressed and refinished in the U.S. Measuring 10'9" x 13'5", this beautiful rug is a testament to the rich history and cultural significance of Persian (Iranian) rug weaving. In fact, the art of rug weaving in Persia dates all the way back to the Bronze Age, with the earliest surviving examples dating back to the Safavid dynasty in the 16th century.
