Erich Dieckmann Bauhaus armchair made of beech wood and paper cord, manufactured in Germany in the 1920s and 1930s.
Alongside Marcel Breuer, Erich Dieckmann is considered one of the most important furniture designers of the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau. The typical Dieckmann features are clearly evident here in this very rare high-back version. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
